In central Västerås there is a shop for refugees where everything is free. The goods are donated and here are clothes, shoes, toys and even hygiene products. - It is very important for us refugees from Ukraine - to get this help because many of us fled with small bags of clothes for winter and now it is soon summer, says Olena Reveruk who is employed in the store.
She fled Kyiv with her daughter and dog in March.
Now she helps other refugees who do not know English when they pick up things in the store.
- I was hired because many do not speak English.
I try to translate and explain what they need and want to get from the store, she says.
The store is located on Munkgatan 5 and is open on weekdays between 10 am and 12 noon.
