In this local election, the so-called 'Moon Shim' of former President Moon Jae-in and the 'Yun Shim' of President Yoon Seok-yeol will face off over the governor of North Chungcheong Province.

The biggest issue in the region was securing growth engines and job creation by attracting new industries in the province of Yigu-dong.

There is also an urgent need to address chronic aging and low birth rates.



Looking at demographic data by age in the province over the past 10 years, those under the age of 20 decreased by 6.4 percentage points, and those over the age of 60 increased by 8.8 percentage points.

Candidate Noh Young-min proposed a monthly payment of 700,000 won until the newborn baby turns 5, and a basic pension for over 65 years old regardless of income.



Candidate Younghwan Kim promised to increase the maternity allowance to 10 million won along with the 'deferred medical expenses system'.



In the opinion poll of the three terrestrial broadcasters on the 16th, Noh Young-min 27.8% and Kim Young-hwan 42.8%, out of the margin of error, Kim took the lead.



In addition to local issues, the choice of Chungcheongbuk-do, which is attracting attention as a confrontation between big-name politicians who have been active in central politics, is approaching in a week.
