Canada records 15 confirmed cases of "monkeypox"

The Ministry of Health in the Canadian province of Quebec announced that 15 confirmed cases of "monkeypox" had been recorded as of yesterday.

Canada's Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said more samples from other parts of the country have been sent to a laboratory in Winnipeg for testing, and more cases are expected in the coming days.

Canada announced its first two cases of "monkeypox" last week after authorities in Quebec said they were examining 17 suspected cases.
