A very busy weekend awaits motorists on the roads of France.

This is particularly the case for those who will go towards the Arcachon basin and in the Bordeaux region.

To ensure the safety of users and limit the risk of accidents, the police will be mobilized until Sunday.

Traffic jams are likely to be numerous for this four-day weekend.

Bison Futé sees red all over France in the direction of departures this Wednesday and Thursday, and black Sunday for returns.

On the A63 motorway, towards the Arcachon basin, traffic is already particularly busy and the police are mobilized, chaining road checks to ensure the safety of motorists.

Monitor all behaviors

"Did you see the speed at which you drove on the access ramp? You don't feel like you're going a little fast?" remarked a CRS to a driver, visibly in a hurry.

"It's above all for safety. We only have one life and it's better to be late in this one than ahead in the other", recognizes a motorist.

Beyond speed, law enforcement monitors all dangerous behavior.

"Changes of direction without making sure of the danger, excessive speeds, failure to respect safety distances and of course, addictive behavior, blood alcohol levels and the use of narcotics", lists captain Lionel Vigouroux, from the Aquitaine motorway CRS.

"It's a busy weekend on the motorways. There's more chance of accidents, so more work for us."

Until Sunday, 20 control devices will be deployed by the CRS throughout the Bordeaux region.
