This was stated on Twitter by the press secretary of the President Jiri Ovchacek.

“Based on the negative recommendation of the Ministry of Defense, the President of the Republic, Milos Zeman, on Tuesday, May 24, denied 11 citizens of the Czech Republic their request to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” wrote Ovchacek.

On May 11, it was reported that Zeman allowed 103 Czech citizens to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Prior to this, the head of the Czech parliamentary committee on European affairs, Ondrej Benesik, announced that the Czech Republic had sent T-72 tanks and BMP-1 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
