Due to the explosion, the police in Helsingborg held a press conference.
Local police chief Karim Ottosson was present to tell about the powerful explosion.
- My hope is that there will be no retaliation, but that is the kind of thing we weigh in the investigation work, he says.
One or more perpetrators
The police said that one or more perpetrators came from a northerly direction and stopped at the restaurant in question on Södra Storgatan to leave the bomb.
They must then have left the site and the explosive charge detonated with a range of 150 meters north and south.
- It is more luck than skill that no one has been injured or even died in this.
I think it is very serious, both as a police officer and a citizen of Helsingborg, says Karim Ottosson.
The restaurant owner is currently a plaintiff in the case and interrogations have been held.
The police have also knocked on doors to collect witness information from residents and reviewed photos from camera surveillance in the area.
Investigate connections to other events
Intensive investigative work is now beginning and it will be mapped out whether the explosion on Tuesday morning can be linked to previous events.
There is currently no suspect in the act.

SVT Nyheter Helsingborg has sought the restaurant owner for a comment without success.
