Skellefteå arranges business trips - wants to pick up labor from southern Sweden

In Malmö the unemployment rate is 15 percent, in Skellefteå only four.

- In Malmö, it is unfortunately difficult to get a job for many.

There are many, many who are fighting for jobs, says Tatjana Ristovski at the International Women's Association in Malmö who was present during the visit to Skellefteå.

Has recruited about 20 people

Mikaela Bondesson at Skellefteå municipality believes a lot in business trips to Skellefteå.

So far, they have managed to recruit about 20 people to move north.

- Many come spontaneously, but it is a big step to move far north.

It costs a lot to move and you need a home.

But we try to help on all fronts.

Skellefteå needs everyone who comes, says Mikaela Bondesson at Region Västerbotten.
