A 30-year-old American man disguised as a police officer has been arrested by local police after entering a house with only women and children and stealing things.

On the 23rd local time, local media such as Fox News and The New York Post reported that Salvatore Alfieri, a 38-year-old man who pretended to be a police officer and pretended to be a law enforcement officer, entered the house of a local and stole something.

According to local police, Alfieri, wearing a police vest, rang the doorbell of a house in Bexa County, Texas, and insisted that "a house must be searched for contraband."

The landlord, believing Alfieri was a local police officer, opened the door, took his cell phone so the landlord couldn't report it, and stole thousands of dollars in cash, including personal items from the house, as well as a personal firearm.

However, the landlord later found it strange and reported it to the local police, who immediately launched an investigation.

Police tracked Alfieri after they found out that he had used a ride-hailing app after the crime, while disclosing his identity on social media for local residents to verify.

On the morning of the 22nd local time, a tip call came in, and the police arrested Alfieri in a ride-sharing service vehicle.

Local authorities will indict Alfieri on charges of illegal detention, impersonation of public officials and theft.

"Fortunately, no one was injured, but Alfieri knew there were only women and children there," a police official said.
