In the night from Sunday to Monday, residents call the Toulouse police to tell them that a man is hitting a young woman, near the Carmes district.

Upon their arrival, the police found the victim who said he had received punches from an unknown person in the face but also in the legs.

The latter then left.

But, thanks to the description of the witnesses, the thirties could be found shortly after by the police.

The 25-year-old explained that she was spending the evening with her girlfriend when they were approached by this man who had been drinking.

He has solicited them heavily on several occasions.

The latter replied that they were together and kissed in front of him.

This infuriated him and he then started punching him.

He was still in police custody early Monday afternoon, the prosecution having opened the investigation in its first phase for "violence committed because of the sexual orientation or gender identity of the victim".

The young woman has filed a complaint for assault.
