"In total, the alliance Les Patriotes, DLF and GF, called + Union for France +, will support around 400 candidates, allowing the vast majority of French people to be able to vote for sovereignist candidates in the next legislative elections", wrote the movement of the Patriots in a press release published on Monday.

The three teams had reached an agreement in April to present 500.

The Patriots will present 209 candidates, DLF 185 "to date" according to a spokesperson, and Generation Frexit 10.

The candidacies attached to this alliance are "officially labeled DSV (Right sovereigntist) by the Ministry of the Interior", specify the Patriots.

The president of Debout la France Nicolas Dupont-Aignan is himself a candidate in the 8th constituency of Essonne, where he has been elected since 1997, and the president of the Patriotes, Florian Philippot in the 6th constituency of Moselle.

The Patriots and Génération Frexit, created by dissidents from the UPR of François Asselineau, had supported the presidential candidacy of Mr. Dupont-Aignan, who gathered 2.06% of the vote.

Candidatures for the legislative elections have been closed since Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the 577 constituencies of France.
