In the clip, the Swedish Arts Council answers why so much money was paid out from the beginning.

In 2020, the company applied for support of SEK 16 million for loss of revenue.

After processing, they received just over eight million kronor.

Afterwards, it emerged from a review of the newspaper Dagens Nyheter that the company had given incorrect information.

Then the Swedish Arts Council began its own review, which is now complete.

Why have you chosen not to report to the police?

- We have not been able to see that there has been a criminal intent, they have responded to us in a credible way, says Greta von Rosen Stövind, General Counsel at the Swedish Arts Council.

Given the opportunity to comment

Halmstad Live has until 7 June to comment on the matter to the Swedish Arts Council, which will then make a final decision.

SVT Nyheter Halland has searched for Halmstad Live on several occasions without receiving a response.

Hallandsposten was the first to report on the recovery.
