The Prison and Probation Service needs more places for people who are in custody or have been sentenced to prison.
Therefore, the capacity in Skänninge is increased.
It has previously had 240 places, but after it has been completed, the institution and the prison will have 312 places.
- We will also have the capacity to receive another 60 inmates, says Johan Molinder.
