It is difficult to get the summer staff together for maternity care

- The staffing situation this year is tough, very tough, says Anna Hörsne Malmborg, head of childbirth at Visby Hospital.

She says that it is difficult to find substitutes - those who usually jump into the summers have said no, perhaps because of the pandemic;

that the need for leave is great.

Thanks to a lot of puzzles, it seems like you get the summer together.

But at the same time, four of the regular midwives have been lost and must therefore work hard with recruitment going forward.

- There are three retirements and one that for personal reasons moves to the mainland, says Anna Hörsne Malmborg.
