The investigation is moving forward after an 18-year-old young man was shot and killed on Thursday in Amiens (Somme).

A 15-year-old suspect went to the city police station the same evening, accompanied by relatives.

He was placed in police custody, questioned and then brought before the prosecution after 48 hours, reports France Bleu Picardie.

The suspect was wanted

The teenager was finally indicted and remanded in custody on Saturday.

He had been the subject of a search warrant shortly after the events.

“Several elements made it possible to formally identify him,” explained the prosecution.

The latter also indicated that the reasons for which the young man had been shot had not yet been clarified.

Witnesses, however, had mentioned a context of drug trafficking.

The suspect, meanwhile, wished to remain silent for the majority of his police custody.

He is not known to the courts, unlike the victim, who was already convicted when she was a minor.
