On Sunday evening, a crew that breaks many records began to roll out on the Västmanland roads.

It is one of the largest transformers that has been manufactured at Hitachi Power Grids in Ludvika, which is going to its final destination Tovåsen, south of Ånge.

The buyer is Ellevio, which is building a wind power cluster in the area.

The transport is 400 tons heavy and can be over a hundred meters long, with two trucks pulling and two pushing.

The transport started from Ludvika and passes Skinnskatteberg, Färna, Karmansbo and Sylte at a leisurely pace, before reaching Köping during the night until Tuesday.

- This is extra everything.

It is one of the absolute heaviest and longest things that has been transported on Swedish roads.

In some places you have to make reinforcements.

It is a logistical challenge, says Jesper Liveröd, press manager at Ellevio.

On Tuesday, the transformer will be loaded on a barge in Köping.

From there it goes by water to Iggesund.
