As stated in the message on the website of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, the case was initiated under paragraph “b” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia.
According to the investigation, on May 21, the child was with relatives in the pool area.
“At some point, left without proper supervision by the fitness club staff, the child jumped off the bypass path into the water of the pool, after which he sank to the bottom,” the UK said.
The child was soon removed from the water, but it was not possible to save him, despite attempts to provide first aid.
Investigators seized the footage from the CCTV cameras in the pool for examination, interrogated the employees of the fitness club, relatives of the deceased witnesses and eyewitnesses.
A forensic medical examination and other investigative actions have been scheduled.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against a kindergarten teacher in Krasnoyarsk on the fact of child abuse.
