Stefanie Babst: "Erdogan holds NATO hostage"

- NATO countries must make it clear to President Erdogan that he is holding Sweden and Finland and the other 13 NATO countries hostage to his own domestic political gains.

This is unacceptable given that we are in the middle of a war on European soil.

What the allies must show now is cohesion and transatlantic solidarity, says Stefanie Babst to SVT.

What concessions does Sweden need to make?

- Sweden has already done a lot.

The PKK was classified as a terrorist organization already under Olof Palme's rule and it is up to Sweden to govern its domestic laws and handle alleged terrorist activities.

Maybe there is more to do about Sweden's arms embargo against Turkey.

It remains to be seen.
