Yeol Yoon and President Biden of the United States will visit the Aerospace Operations Headquarters at Osan Air Base today together.

This is President Biden's last visit to Korea.

The two leaders are known to express their strong commitment to the ROK-U.S. alliance by encouraging their soldiers to carry out joint operations.

Yesterday's summit took place in three stages.

From a small-group meeting, attended only by the two heads of state and two close aides, to a private conversation with only an interpreter, and extended talks with officials from both governments and the presidential office.

The meeting lasted 1 hour and 49 minutes, exceeding the originally scheduled 90 minutes.

The two leaders held a press conference based on the joint declaration containing the results of the talks.

The two leaders said they agreed to develop the existing ROK-U.S. alliance into a global comprehensive strategic alliance that contributes to security in the Indo-Pacific region and the world based on universal values.

[President Seok-Yeol Yoon: As a global comprehensive strategic alliance, we want to create a norm-based order together while responding to these challenges together.]

[Joe Biden/President of the United States: We believe that cooperation between the United States and South Korea at the global and regional level is very important for strategic development.]

The 11-page A4 joint declaration contains the joint US-ROK response to North Korea. Economic and security cooperation, and Korea's contribution to the international community are included.
