Erik Åkerberg first tried to climb Mount Everest in 2015, but like many others had to give up that year due to a serious earthquake.

Two years later, he tried again, and at 07:05 on May 21, 2017, he finally stood on the world's highest peak.

We met Erik at Hammarbybacken in Stockholm where he trained before the ascent.

In the video, he talks about the horror when things do not go as planned during the climb, about the dangerous queue formation that can take place at the top and about a climber he got to know who never went down the mountain.
