A Gulf woman buys a villa and leads its owner to court

Khaleejia bought a villa for 800,000 dirhams, and I was afraid that its owner would dispute the validity of his signature on the sale contract, so she led him to the court demanding the validity of signing the contract. The Ras Al Khaimah Partial Civil Court ruled that the defendant’s signature on the sales contract was valid and obligated the plaintiff to pay fees and expenses.

The case papers stated that the plaintiff bought a villa from the defendant for a value of 800,000 dirhams, and the seller received 300,000 dirhams, with 474 thousand dirhams in installments, after deducting 26,000 dirhams for the value of the necessary maintenance work for the villa.

The case papers added that the defendant acknowledged before the court the validity of his signature on the sales contract, and accordingly the court decided to reserve the case for judgment, explaining that the defendant sold the plaintiff a villa, and personally acknowledged the validity of signing the sales contract, and the court is heading to rule on the validity of the defendant’s signature on the sales contract in action. Article 33 of the Law of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Transactions, and obligates the plaintiff to pay the lawsuit fees and expenses.
