According to Vedomosti, citing sources familiar with the situation, according to the idea, individuals and legal entities in Russia, as well as authorities and organizations with licensing contracts with copyright holders from unfriendly states, will have to make payments to ruble accounts in Russian banks.
Accordingly, it is also expected to pay for intellectual property objects, the use of which was banned by foreign copyright holders on the territory of the country against the background of the ongoing special operation in Ukraine.
“Thus ... the obligations of Russian licensees to partners from unfriendly countries will be considered fulfilled,” the interlocutors of the publication said.
It is assumed that appropriate measures will allow not to violate the rights of licensors and pay them monetary rewards.
The corresponding procedure is proposed to be used until the lifting of sanctions and prohibitions on the use of intellectual property.
In early May, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade approved a list of goods allowed for parallel imports into the country.
The Russians offered to allow them free, not requiring the consent of the copyright holders, the use of films and music by companies that left the country.
