He believes that US lawmakers should seriously think about how "such large-scale spending bills" will affect the US defense and the economy.

Earlier, the Senate approved a draft law on the allocation of additional appropriations for $40 billion in order to provide assistance to Ukraine, including the supply of weapons.

As stated in a statement by President Joe Biden, published on the White House website, the funds he requested will allow Washington to send even more weapons to Kiev, "replenish its own supplies and support the American military contingent stationed on the territory (countries.

In turn, the Kremlin stressed that the Russian Armed Forces are carefully monitoring the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine.
