In connection with the tunnel construction in Varberg, several historical finds have emerged.

SVT Nyheter Halland has previously reported on several wrecks that are believed to be from the Middle Ages.

On Friday morning, Varberg continued to surprise with medieval history.

An unusual little figure of horn has fallen into the hands of archaeologists.

- That was when we washed the bottom planks in the hull of the wreck.

So it came out, firmly at the bottom, Elisabet Schager, archaeologist and project manager for investigations in connection with the Varberg tunnel.

Like the wreckage, the figure is believed to be from the Middle Ages.

The archaeologists' thesis is that the figure was used as a game piece.
