Nearly 7,500 carnivalists have worked together for a long time to bring together this year's carnival.

Which in addition to being threatened by the pandemic was also threatened by train stops.

Rain is expected during the carnival procession

But all outside threats now seem to be blown away and this year's carnival can go off the rails - possibly with a little rain during the weekend's carnival train.

It is noticeable that there is a pent-up need among students to live out student life and the record for how many people have become involved is exceeded by thousands this year.

The biggest carnival ever

This year's carnival will thus go down in history as the largest ever.

This year, approximately 100,000 visitors are expected to come every day.

- It's so fun to be a carnivalist and experience the carnival from this direction, says Matilda Sjöberg who will work at "Konkursen" during the weekend and sell sweaters, among other things.
