“In memory of Nantes, we have rarely seen such a mess in Nantes: rain + ring road and blocked center = monster traffic jam”.

Since this Friday morning, reactions of this kind have been flourishing on social networks.

It must be said that the situation is particularly complicated on the roads and in public transport.

A demonstration by territorial agents from Nantes Métropole first led to the closure of the Cheviré bridge in both directions, causing traffic jams on the ring road that were several kilometers long.

Motorists have therefore returned to the city center, again creating huge traffic jams, for example around the Anne-de-Bretagne bridge.

The traffic jams on the ring road in Saint Herblain are no joke 40 minutes to go to Nantes I had to do not even 2km

Disrupted bus lines

The procession, made up of an inter-union CGT-Unsa-FO-CFTC and mobilized for a salary increase, then joined the Town Hall, blocking the circulation of many buses in the city center and in particular the very frequent line 4 of the busway.

At noon, the TAN just announced a "gradual" return to normal.

On social networks, some users indicated that they had turned around and taken half a day of teleworking, before attempting a trip again at the start of the afternoon.
