Sverge's geological survey, SGU, is the authority responsible for issues of rock, soil and groundwater.

Every week, the picture of groundwater levels for the whole of Sweden is updated and everything is graded on a scale of five steps.

The levels in the small magazines vary more while the large magazines have a more constant level over time.

In the area in and around Sörmland, both levels landed on red, ie the lowest level and much below normal according to SGU's way of seeing it.
