The Secretary of the Presidential Palaces Inventory Committee formed in 2011, Counselor Khaled Mahgoub, revealed surprises about the theft of 125 million pounds between 2003 and the resignation of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

In an interview with the "Egypt Times" website, he explained that more than 125 million pounds were seized between 2003 and Mubarak's resignation from the presidency in early 2011, to be spent on the private properties of the Mubarak family, while falsifying official documents to portray them as maintenance expenses for presidential communications centers.

He pointed out that after more than 7 years of the judicial ruling, which the Mubarak family tried to appeal more than once, as it was the only definitive ruling that convicted Mubarak and his family, and on the basis of which they lost the reputation police to engage in political life or assume public office, Gamal Mubarak came out to declare the family's innocence of all charges. Which it has continued since 2011 without mentioning the January 25 revolution.

According to Counselor Al-Mahjoub, Gamal Mubarak's speech comes at this moment after the legal period has passed since the judicial ruling issued in 2015 to restore honor. However, the man who was a major cause of the events of 2011 due to the accusation of succession that affected him and his family lost the element of reputation that is a major determinant of running for elections or taking over Public positions are what makes the decision, in the event of his candidacy, owned by the Elections Committee appointed at the time, if he does so.

Al-Mahjoub indicated that the lawyers paid only 104 million out of 125 million stipulated in the indictment because they were paying that the difference represented in 21 million was to cover construction expenses proposed by the Republican Guard as part of the former president’s insurance procedures or were spent on state-owned headquarters.

And he continued: "Jamal, who came out speaking fluent English, made it easy for his father and his brother, "Alaa", to seize the sum of 125 million pounds, according to the pronouncement of the judicial ruling issued in 2015 and explained by Counselor Khaled Al-Mahjoub, Secretary-General of the Presidential Palaces Inventory Committee, whose investigations and inventory of palaces contributed to the only ruling issued. Mubarak during his work as commander of the Air Force, an office for Suzanne Mubarak in the City Star mall in Cairo, and a family cemetery. Some of these works and supplies were carried out by the Arab Contractors Company by self-execution, that is, with the company’s equipment and employees, and the rest of it was implemented by subcontractors, some of whom it was possible to hear Their statements regarding the investigations carried out a part of these works by each of them, and they issued invoices for them, which they presented to the engineer in charge of the Presidency of the Republic for approval.
