Sweden and Finland have now submitted their applications for membership in NATO.
The actual submission of the applications was made by Finland's NATO Ambassador Klaus Korhonen and Sweden's Axel Wernhoff in a simple ceremony with Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
