Justice has pronounced a dismissal targeting a father and his daughter indicted for slanderous denunciation in 2013 in Auvers-sur-Oise (Val-d'Oise).

They had filed a complaint against a teacher, suspected of having viewed pornographic images in class.

The case had been closed without further action, recalls

.

The suspect then turned against the complainants, claiming that they were aware of "the falsity of their accusations" when denouncing the facts.

The family, he said, intended to harm him.

No bad faith

The Pontoise (Val-d'Oise) investigating judge indicated that "bad faith is one of the constituent elements of the offense" of slanderous denunciation.

But this could not be proven.

The magistrate added that the student had "always maintained having seen the pornographic images on his teacher's computer", like two other college students.

Similar events took place a year later in the new college where the history and geography teacher had been assigned.

He had denied the facts but was suspended for four months.
