The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered bills submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky on extending martial law in the country after May 24 and on continuing general mobilization.
The term of martial law, introduced in Ukraine with the start of the Russian military operation, expires on May 24.
Earlier, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov announced the intention of the Ukrainian authorities to mobilize a million people into the army.
