Ras Al Khaimah Police has identified 10 tips for driving vehicles safely when dust, dirt and sand dunes form to reduce traffic accidents due to lack of visibility on the road.

She explained that, first, the speed of the vehicle must be reduced if visibility is limited on the road as a result of dust and weather changes, and secondly, to leave a sufficient safety distance between the vehicles to avoid sudden stops and to protect road users, and thirdly, to calculate at least five seconds for a complete stop, and fourthly not to use the four-way signals except in the case of parking. Completely or suddenly standing on the side of the road to warn the cars behind because it poses a great danger for other drivers to think that you are parked, and fifth, and to stay away from areas of traffic congestion and crises, and sixth, to use the front and rear light lights of the vehicle, seventhly to make sure that the front and back windows of the vehicle are clean, and eighthly to make sure that the vehicle is closed. The windows should be well maintained while driving. Ninthly, the vehicle’s path should be changed carefully when necessary, and tenthly, avoid as much as possible leaving the house in windy and dusty weather.
