It was at the end of April that the trial started and the accused are suspected of having been involved in various ways in the drug that, among other things, sold drugs on Darknet - a secret part of the internet.

The suspects could be revealed, among other things, by the police, via the American FBI, gaining access to around 100,000 chat messages from phones that used the encrypted service Anom.

Three of the six accused are residents of Nyköping and Trosa.

Risks long prison sentences

On Monday, prosecutors held their closing arguments and demanded a prison sentence of 4.5 to 9 years, depending on involvement and role in the operation.

District Attorney Jonas Peterson believes that long prison sentences are required due to the amount of drugs sold and the organizational form.

- They have not had control over who they sold to on the internet, it turns out that it is people under the age of 18 who have ordered, he says.

He explains that it is different from the street stinging of drugs where you see the person in question who wants to buy drugs.

Then it is possible to see age and in what condition the person is.

- If a 15-year-old comes and wants to buy, maybe you refrain.

They sell indiscriminately here, says Jonas Peterson.

The principal can be imprisoned for 11 years

Jonas Peterson describes the drug league as a "well-functioning organization" and explains that anyone suspected of being the principal, a 47-year-old man from Stockholm, can receive a prison sentence of eleven years.

The reason is that he has been released on parole after a previous prison sentence and must have committed a crime during his probation.

- If you commit a crime during the probationary period, then there is an opportunity to confiscate the rest of the sentence.

The remaining two years remain, says Jonas Peterson.

The youngest of the suspects, a 21-year-old woman from Stockholm, was released after the closing arguments.

Jonas Peterson does not want to speculate on why but says that it may have something to do with age.

- The person is young and has been in custody for almost a year, he says.

A couple of the accused admit some crime but the others completely deny the crime.
