The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia announced the use of laser systems by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine

He said this when answering the question of whether the corresponding systems are used by Russian troops in Ukraine.

“Yes, the first samples are already being used,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

He also added that the already existing Peresvet complexes are capable of blinding enemy systems, while the new and more powerful weapon uses the principle of thermal damage - “burns through” it. 

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a video of the defeat of US-supplied M777 howitzers and Ukrainian artillery crew by the Kub kamikaze drone.
