China News Service, May 18. According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, according to the unified domestic deployment, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal will adjust the requirements for applying for health codes and the requirements for pre-boarding passengers from May 17, 2022. Changed to 48-hour nucleic acid, 24-hour nucleic acid and 12-hour antigen detection.

The embassy will issue a blue health code to passengers on direct flights to China who pass the 48-hour and 24-hour nucleic acid test results and pass the embassy's review.

When checking in, passengers are required to present the blue health code and the negative antigen report within 12 hours to the airline at the same time.

01 Basic principles

The Chinese Embassy in Nepal will not accept applications for health codes from third countries and transit through Nepal to China. The consequences of detention and repatriation arising from insisting on transiting in Nepal will be borne by individuals.

At present, only those who live in Nepal for a long time (including employees of Chinese-funded enterprises and overseas Chinese in Nepal), those who come to Nepal temporarily from China, and those who are Nepalese with valid visas to go to China are accepted for health code applications.

The current global epidemic continues, and there is a risk of cross-infection in international travel. Please "non-essential, non-emergency, and do not travel."

After the resumption of direct passenger flights between China and Nepal, if you really need to return to China, please take the direct flight.

02 Closed-loop isolation

  (1) Personnel of Chinese-funded enterprises in Nepal are required to undergo closed-loop isolation and health monitoring 10 days before boarding.

If symptoms such as fever and cough occur, the itinerary should be terminated immediately, and those who are in close contact with him should do the same.

Please take responsibility for the management of Chinese-funded enterprises (including state-owned and private enterprises) in Nepal, and be responsible for properly supervising the isolation management of employees. After the isolation period expires, the enterprise will issue a "Isolation Certificate" (Annex 1), and the person in charge of the enterprise will sign and seal it.

  (2) For other people going to China, please self-monitor their health before departure, take strict precautions to ensure their own health, and avoid being stranded or imported into China due to infection before boarding.

03 Testing requirements

2 nucleic acid tests and 1 antigen test are required before boarding in Nepal.

The first nucleic acid test is within 48 hours before boarding,

The second nucleic acid test is within 24 hours before boarding.

(Apply to the embassy for a blue health code after 2 nucleic acid tests)

Do an antigen test within 12 hours before boarding.

Passengers must present the blue health code and the negative antigen report within 12 hours at the same time when checking in, and the hard copy of the antigen report must be submitted to the airline for inspection and retention.

The above three tests must be carried out at the institutions designated by the embassy, among which the 48-hour and 24-hour nucleic acid tests must be carried out at different designated institutions.

The current list of testing institutions designated by the embassy is as follows:

The following procedures must be followed:

  (1) Persons with a history of infection should submit two negative nucleic acid test reports (with a sampling interval of at least 24 hours) issued by local regular medical institutions in Nigeria as recovery certification materials, and send them to the embassy email to consult_npl@163.com for review.

The subject of the email is "Certificate of Rehabilitation by Name and Telephone", and the content of the email should indicate the date of infection, date of recovery, and previous tests.

The date of nucleic acid test should be later than the date of diagnosis or positive test.
