He stated this at a meeting with the ambassadors of Finland and Sweden Klaus Korhonen and Axel Wernhoff. 

“The Alliance will now discuss the next steps on the path to NATO.

The security interests of all countries must be taken into account, and we are determined to resolve all issues and achieve a quick completion of the admission process, ”said the Secretary General.

Stoltenberg added that NATO is now "adapting its security system in the Baltic Sea."

Earlier, the ambassadors of Sweden and Finland handed over applications for NATO membership to Stoltenberg.
