During the examination, the medical staff dismissed that it could be a heart attack and sent the man home in a sick taxi.

He was asked to seek care again if the problems did not become milder.

The medical record states that the man was sent home with painkillers and that he must have been "basically symptom-free" when he left the hospital.

According to the family's Ivo report, however, it appears that the man must have been so ill that he needed help from the taxi at home and that the autopsy report showed that the man shortly after returning home must have collapsed from a broken carotid artery and died.

The Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate will now look into the matter to investigate whether the care has failed.
