A nearby subway station in Hangzhou, the capital of China's Zhejiang province, was flooded with water from a nearby lake.

According to the Hangzhou Daily, a large amount of water poured into Jinshahu Station of the Hangzhou Line 1 subway at around 3 pm local time today (18th).

There were no casualties in the accident, but the subway passed through the station without stopping for a while, causing inconvenience to nearby citizens.

Subway station officials took safety measures using sandbags, etc., and urgently repaired leaks.

The Hangzhou Transportation Authority is investigating the exact circumstances, believing that water from a nearby lake had flowed into the subway station as a problem occurred in the water pipe of the above-ground shopping mall.
