His priority is to form a new government, and behind the scenes, what is at stake is the balance between right and left.

She first met the deputies of the majority on Tuesday morning, before meeting for three hours with the president.

If it is up to the former Minister of Labor to compose the next government, it is indeed the Head of State who retains control.

What is being played out behind the scenes is the balance between right and left, the famous "at the same time" dear to the re-elected head of state.

The announcement is expected to take place between Wednesday and Friday

This is why several right-wing politicians are trying to influence the appointments for a rebalancing.

"Since Élisabeth Borne is on the left, to counterbalance, more room will be needed for the right", hopes a minister ... on the right.

One certainty for the moment: the council of ministers which usually takes place on Wednesdays will not take place tomorrow.

The announcement of the government of Elisabeth Borne should take place between Wednesday and Friday.

But initially, it could be a tight government, around fifteen ministers at most.

The appointment of ministers delegates and other secretaries of state could take place in a second stage, after the legislative elections of June 12 and 19.
