The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments announced yesterday the requirements of Hajj for the 1443 AH season, corresponding to this year.

The two bodies expressed their great appreciation for the efforts of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leadership, government and people, in harnessing all capabilities to serve the pilgrims.

The requirements come in response to the Kingdom’s announced regulations for this year’s Hajj season, which include that the pilgrim has never performed the obligatory Hajj, and the Hajj is limited to the age group of less than 65 years, and that the pilgrim has approved vaccinations and the supporting dose to prevent infection with the “Covid-19” virus. ».

The requirements also include submitting a negative PCR test result within 72 hours before arriving in the Kingdom, and that priority should be given to those who meet the conditions who are registered in the Hajj electronic system and whose data have been previously updated.

The two bodies confirmed that the announced requirements come in support of the leadership's strategy, which aims to preserve the recovery gains that the UAE has achieved.

The two bodies called on pilgrims to adhere to precautionary and preventive measures.
