Växjö Lakers will be liable for repayment after the club itself has notified the growth agency that they have not used grants in the form of redundancy support that the club applied for in 2020.

In total, the club has received SEK 6,228,044, but according to the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth's new assessment, the club may only keep SEK 5,416,158.

The players were not employed

The Lakers themselves announced that they would pay back SEK 121,326 that they did not use.

But most of the repayment is about information that the club has not written anything about.

According to the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, the club has applied for grants for both employees and players who were not currently employed by the club.

In total, the support is rejected for a total of twelve people and SEK 690,560 must be repaid.
