A Russian-led military alliance summit has begun in Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to have the aim of promoting the unity of member countries and restraining Europe and the United States while deepening isolation in the international community over the situation in Ukraine.

The CSTO = Collective Security Treaty Organization, a military alliance led by Russia, has been in operation for 30 years since the treaty was first signed, and a summit meeting was held on the 16th in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

The conference is attended by the leaders of Russia, the former Soviet Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia.

The CSTO summit will be held for the first time since Russia launched a military invasion of Ukraine in February, and the situation in Ukraine is expected to be discussed.

As Western sanctions on Russia become stronger and isolation deepens in the international community, Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to have the aim of promoting the unity of member countries and restraining the West.
