He noted that Russia had long sounded the alarm about the US military-biological activities in the post-Soviet space.
“As you know, the Pentagon has created dozens of specialized biological laboratories and centers in our common region.
And they are by no means busy providing practical medical assistance to the population of those countries where they have launched their activities, ”Putin said.
The President of Russia added that the main task of American biological laboratories is to collect biological materials and study for their own purposes the specifics of the spread of viruses and dangerous diseases.
“And now, during a special operation in Ukraine, documentary evidence has been obtained that, in the immediate vicinity of our borders, components of biological weapons were created, in fact, in violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons,” the Russian president said.
The Russian leader added that near the borders of Russia, "possible methods and mechanisms were being worked out to destabilize the epidemiological situation in the post-Soviet space."
Putin concluded that in this regard, the Russian side is counting on the support of colleagues for the speedy implementation of the Russian initiative to launch the profile council within the framework of the CSTO.
