The People's Power strongly criticized Rep. Park Wan-joo of the Democratic Party, who was expelled from the party for sexual harassment allegations, calling for an investigation and disciplinary action at the National Assembly level.

At a meeting of the Central Election Countermeasures Committee for local elections, Cho Su-jin said, "This problem is serious in that it is a power-based sex crime that abused status like the Park Won-soon, Oh Keo-don, and Ahn Hee-jeong cases. It's even more shocking," he said.

"The media are confirming the circumstances in which Rep. Park attempted to destroy evidence, such as an attempt to convince the victim with money," he said.

Cho also added, "The Democratic Party has an absolute seat that can handle the agenda independently," adding, "Just like the 'examination and dismissal', the necessary procedures for the Special Ethics Committee and the plenary meeting should be carried out in a snap."

High Commissioner Jeong Mi-kyung also said, "Considering that the victim requested Park to be stripped of his office, it is presumed that it was a serious sexual offense."

She continued, "Rep. Park's words, 'It's not like it' is the victim's language," she said.
