He was the winner of the Seville Fair and he still has one afternoon to fight in San Isidro and another in the Plaza de Aranjuez, where he will share the poster on May 29 with Morante de la Puebla and Alejandro Talavante.

Experts affirm that you are at your best moment. There are many years of struggle and sacrifice.

I had a slab on me and, after the victory in Seville, I took it off.

Now I am freer and I fight with less tension.

What does the Puerta del Príncipe taste like? It is special.

I'm still enjoying it.

There are many years of trying to find a key day that you remember in your life and if it is Seville, in my land and my square, imagine.

It has been one of the most beautiful triumphs of my life and I hope it will not be the last.

Are you an eternal dissatisfied? Yes, that overwhelms me a lot.

I am very insecure in the sense of wanting to look good with myself so that I can later succeed.

I need to be very aware that the homework is done.

What is the difference between fighting in Las Ventas and in a bullring like Aranjuez? Responsibility always exists.

The Plaza de Aranjuez is special because it has an incomparable setting.

The poster with Morante and Talavante has attracted a lot of attention.

If we win in San Isidro, imagine the atmosphere that bullfight will have.

Are those on line 7 of Las Ventas too demanding or those who watch over the essence of bullfighting? They have shown me that in the moments in which they have had to demand me they have demanded me and they were right.

And, when they have had to tuck me in, they have also done so.

When I have put myself in my place and I have had important evenings, they have never let me down.

You grow up against difficult bulls.

I would like to have more fame for being played by very good bulls and I would fight them very well.

I try to join them.

As the teacher Ordóñez said, there are six days in which you have to go out to the square not to die,

but yes to pass a line that is very complicated to pass every day.

What do you not like that they do in the square? Noise.

The other day I was fighting in Palos de la Frontera and there was a fair.

I listened to the noise of the children and the strollers of the fair and that makes me very nervous.

I really like the countryside, solitude, feeling the warmth of people when they are silent.

What goes through your mind when you get caught by the bull? I try not to fall on the ground.

That is something that worries me a lot.

What happens if it happens? That I can't escape from there.

I try to fight not to fall.

I am a bullfighter who is very lucky and the bulls don't catch me very much.

That doesn't mean you don't take risks.

The bullfighters who are not caught by the bulls have an intelligence of being able to think and make the bull go through a place where he does not want.

I believe that courage is more intelligence than the courage to let yourself be fucked.

I see that more unconsciously than consciously.

When we bullfighters allow an animal to pass through that site, we are risking a lot.

Is being a matador in Spain these days a blessing or an ordeal? Without a doubt, a blessing.

The life of the bullfighter is the most beautiful there is.

We live as we want doing what we like and, on top of that, they pay us.

Then come the harshness, the fears, the failures... But you have more good things than bad. Bullfighters used to be heroes, but now they call you murderers.

That obsesses me a lot and I try to isolate myself from those things.

It creates significant personal pressure on me.

I would never call anyone a murderer for practicing their profession.

We are capable of losing our lives for nothing.

There are days when you go out to the square and, financially,

You know that you are not going to solve your life with what you are going to earn, but you are capable of judging yours. Do people from the city think about bullfighting and life in the countryside without having a clue? We are also to blame.

We should bring this world to that unknown hobby.

Few people deny the party when they really know it.

The right-handed Pablo Aguado complained that the city's animal specialist insists on having a dog in five square meters. Or a bird in a cage.

If we are so forceful in those things, we must see others.

The bull is an animal that comes out to defend its life and at that moment is free to catch, charge and earn its living.

The bull is 100% cared for and has attention that neither people have.

It is a unique animal.

Life offers you cures of humility, what has been yours? Many.

I have made many mistakes and I am aware of it.

I am lucky because life has given me the opportunity to correct them.

Like which ones? In the key moments do not take the step.

I never forgive myself for that.

The step of achieving glory? I have been conformist at times when I have not had to be.

That is why I have lived the moments that I have had to live.

Today I am happy because I have advanced as a person and as a bullfighter.

My life is always in a thread because I always try to push myself to the limit in my profession.

If I am capable, then I will be capable and, if I am not, I will be aware that being a figure in bullfighting is the most difficult thing in the world.

I am on that path.

I have many things to achieve. What are your rituals before leaving? I pray in my chapel where I have photos of my mother and mother-in-law,

people that I have lost along the way who are very close to me and who supported me a lot.

I didn't know you were married.

Well, she's my girlfriend, but she's like she was... My mother-in-law passed away very young and she was a pillar, after my mother, very important along with my sister, my girlfriend and my father.

More than praying, I ask you to accompany me in those hard moments when one gets blocked.

What is the hardest part of your profession? Failure.

Although from failure you learn a lot and with triumph many mistakes are made.

Winning is bad.

It's good financially and it's good for making contracts, but personally it's negative.

When you fail is when you are most capable of learning and advancing. At the age of 12 you went to study in Mexico, but you did not have a good time.

No. These are things that one has to go through in life.

They blamed me for having a bad character and everything comes a little from there.

Having to defend yourself so young as a child and not having important family members nearby affects a lot.

It's been hard for me to find myself.

Now I have done it.

You have declared that bullfighters are very childish because you have not been children. It is true.

Now I do things that I would have liked to do as a child. Which ones? Many things.

madness of innocence

I really like feeling innocent and doing things I can't do.

If they tell me that it is impossible to get there, that is what motivates me the most.

I like horses and contradict everyone in the world.

I have not corrected that.

I do it for being a ballplayer with those who are by my side.

Who has been the greatest bullfighter? The one who has impressed me the most has been José Tomás.

But the bullfighter I admire the most is El Juli.

He has been able to endure all the ages.

Is the national holiday in danger? No.

The anti-bullfighting are not so many.

We must be united.

Is Vox the only party that defends bullfighting? I don't know much about politics.

It is not only bullfighting, but the field.

Bullfighting is the second mass show that leaves the most money to the State.

It gives a lot of work and a lot of wealth.

I'm not telling you we're not doing some things wrong.

Well, you have to correct them as in everything.

Who are the main enemies of bullfighting? Many times we have to blame ourselves for not letting people into our circle.

We have to be united. And are you bullfighters? We must all go down the same river.

Many things are being achieved.

The manifestation of the field in Madrid has been a point and apart.

It has been seen that we are not alone.

We are not talking about the world of bullfighting, but about the rural world,

hunting, fishing... That's life.

That's the people and you can't go against that.

Are bullfighters more cared for in France than in Spain?

There you are a figure.

I am very grateful to France.

If I am living these moments now it is thanks to France.

In the hardest moments of my career they supported me.

They were able to hold on and shelter me.

Now I have to return all that love.

How is the temper of a bullfighter forged? The temper is carried.

It cannot be learned.

With that you are born.

It is something that is carried in nature.

What myth about the matadors must be banished? We ourselves have created a armor of tough people that we are capable of killing an animal.

That is not true.

We are very sensitive.

We have to let people see what we are capable of feeling for an animal.

And what do you feel towards the bull? For me the bull is the most important character in this party.

More than the bullfighter? Yes, because he is the one who makes us create, the one who allows us to be more or less great, the one who speaks to us, the one who can least defend himself and the one who must be respected the most. worse than ever? No.

Bullfighting has advanced a lot in technique.

The animal is the one that also makes us advance.

The farmer has created an animal to create some exceptional works, but it takes a lot of technique and ability.

Is more technique needed than before? Yes, much more.

Before the bull was more passer.

The hour comes slowed down and humiliates himself.

You have to hook him, take him very tight and be very precise in everything.

Are the bulls becoming more tame? Not for me.

There are very brave herds and, as you can see, very few tame bulls come out.

Do the bullfighters have '

groupies' like rock stars? Yes, of course.

There are unconditional people who go miles and miles to see you and who save money to go to the bullfights.

Is very pretty.

I value it very much.

They are people who are happy when I win and, when I don't, they are there.

What is the hardest goring that life has given you? That cure of humility.

That way of seeing that I had everything and coming to have nothing.

Did you suffer a descent into hell? Yes, a lot.

That, along with the loss of people you love, is the hardest thing I have ever experienced.

It's what makes you great too. How was that descent into hell? I couldn't explain it to you.

There are times when I need more time to find out how I was able to get out of where I was.

I need time.

I am sure of the people who have been there: my crew, my family...

There have been times when things have crossed my mind that I don't know if I would be able to face them again.

If it happened again, I don't know if I would have the strength for that.

Well now you're up again.

Yes, but you have to stay and continue in this fight, which is not easy.
