A dispute for a place in a queue that ends in murder: a man has been appearing since Monday before the Assize Court of Seine-Saint-Denis for having killed in February 2020 the motorist with whom he had a dispute in a washing station.

Stabbed in the abdomen

On February 11, 2020, Amadou Bah, night VTC driver, went at 3:00 p.m. to a petrol station in Les Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis) where he had his habits for the maintenance of the car he rented.

He stands in front of the car wash and gets out of his vehicle to get a ticket.

In the meantime, Aous Trabelsi, a resident of Romainville, unemployed at the time of the events, positions his car in front of his.

Disagreeing about their place in the queue, the two men shout at each other and exchange blows.

They are separated for the first time by people present on the scene.

During the second altercation, Aous Trabelsi pulls out a small knife and stabs Amadou Bah in the abdomen.

The victim takes two steps and then collapses.

His iliac artery cut, he died in a few minutes.

He hides the weapons at a friend's house

"He said" ouch "and he fell, I thought he had felt unwell," said one of the witnesses on Monday, who like many other people present had not seen the knife.

After the fatal blow, Aous Trabelsi takes off with a bang, nearly crushes the victim who was dying on the ground and leaves the gas station.

He goes to his home, collects all the bladed weapons he has (Indonesian knives, katana, sushi knife, etc.), hides them at a friend's house and destroys his SIM card.

He was arrested at 8:00 p.m. on leaving his lawyer's office.

Verdict Wednesday

Two years after the events, Aous Trabelsi, 32, appears in detention.

The slender defendant answers questions without showing emotion.

On his side of the room, the public benches are empty.

Amadou Bah, 35, was a Guinean political refugee who arrived in France in 2010. He hoped to improve his professional situation to continue to support his wife and two children who were to join him in France three weeks after the events.

His widow, accompanied by the couple's children, follows the debates thanks to the translations of a relative, surrounded by about fifteen family members and friends of the victim.

The verdict is expected on Wednesday.
