A red moon, the result of a lunar eclipse which should last a few hours, can be seen anywhere in France provided you get up early, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The president of the French astronomy association gives his advice on Europe 1 to make the most of the show.

A beautiful spectacle in the sky in the night from Sunday to Monday.

Everywhere in France, a red Moon will be visible.

It is the result of a lunar eclipse which is expected to last a few hours.

And to contemplate this phenomenon, you will have to get up very early, between 4:30 and 5:30 in the morning.

The lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth interposes itself between the sun and the Moon, that is to say that its shadow is projected on the Moon", explains Olivier Las Vergnas, president of the French association of astronomy, which gives its advice on Europe 1 to make the most of the show.
