On a daily basis, Morten Kildal works at the University Hospital in Uppsala.

He has previously worked with operating on burns in Gaza and recently went down to Lviv on behalf of Médecins Sans Frontières, to help the business become better at treating burns and wounds.

- Those who have suffered severe burns, open wounds, fractures or facial injuries end up at the unit where I worked, he says.

Kildal soon found out that surgical equipment was missing on site - which the hospital has now received.

- There is a very good healthcare, but it was more about the lack of very specific type of equipment that they needed to be able to operate on burns.

Morten Kildal believes that help and support will be needed for Ukraine over a long period of time.

- It must be done in close collaboration and collaboration with doctors and nurses down there.

And I think together we can make a big difference for these patients.

In the clip above, the plastic surgeon talks about how the intensive care work in Lviv is organized.
