Somali Guardian: Former Somali President Mahmoud elected for new presidential term

"Hasan Sheikh Mahmoud has been elected as the new President of Somalia," the Twitter post said.

According to the publication, he has already taken the oath.

Earlier it became known that the United States is sending a delegation to the UAE, where Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has become the new president.

The group will include CIA Director William Burns, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
