Going to the museum at night was possible this Saturday May 14, 2022 on the occasion of the 18th edition of the European Night of Museums.

In Marseille, at the Museum of Decorative Arts, Earthenware and Fashion at Château Borély, visitors were delighted to find this meeting again.

The first to take place normally since 2020 and the start of the Covid crisis.

An 18th century style dress on the back, in a completely crazy show, an artist tells the story of the female silhouette via modern songs, under the astonished eyes of Anane who is there with her children: "

It was surprising and at the end we say to ourselves I would like to drink what she had in her glass

.

She is delighted to come to the museum in the evening: "

We're a little more relaxed, we tell ourselves I'm going to go there too, I'm going to leave work aside, it's very good to be able to go there with the family and enjoy and be less stressed

.

»

And then there is the incessant comings and goings of visitors, which gives a warm atmosphere, which Marie-Josée Linou, the director of Château Borely, particularly appreciates: "

It's much lighter, I think people are more relaxed.

In addition, in this 18th century castle, you really have the impression of being completely back in time

.

Not far from there, a notebook, a drawing in her hand, Lola, 17, carefully observes a small earthenware monkey under the light of the setting sun which crosses the large windows of the museum: "

The colorimetry will be different, especially on white with the slightly orange color of the sunset, and we will be able to have a new interpretation of the blow as a spectator

.

In addition to Borely, ten other Marseille museums have opened their doors until midnight.
