The diploma forgets nothing.

With the listing of the half-year grades, it proves quite precisely that between the half-years 12/1 and 13/2 a little interest in some subjects was lost.

Ironically, in a favorite subject, however, there was a particularly noticeable rash.

In the gymnastics half-year, there are four points granted as a mercy, whereas there are 15 in the periods with swimming or whatever ball sport.

Gymnastics wasn't in my genes and socialization without climbing trees.

A handstand seemed impossible to me and I always watched my sports buddies at Crossfit MZ with wide eyes when they swung themselves against the wall and then easily stood on their arms like me on my legs.

It's about overcoming

But then came "Ö", one of the trainers in the box, as CrossFit facilities are called because of their roots in garages equipped with heavy tractor tires.

He didn't want to put up with my refusal.

First, we worked kneeling on a 70 centimeter high box, bent over with the head down, on the inverted body feeling and the initial stability in the arms and shoulders.

Then I got into a kind of starting position like before a hundred-meter run, but a good 30 centimeters in front of a wooden wall, where my feet should eventually arrive at a height of more than two meters.

The swinging leg remains stretched out, the other leg bent.

And above all: the arms remain long and stable.

And then it was all about overcoming it: swinging the body's center of gravity up and then also swinging the legs over the body axis seemed impossible again.

Ö's help brought me to the top.

The liberation was then only the own impetus: Contrary to expectations, my heels did not penetrate the wooden wall.

Unlike the mind, my body has its own feeling for motor functions.

In an emergency, the swinging leg and the trailing leg communicate in an amazingly balancing way.

What remains is respect for the handstand.

And that's good.

He is the safeguard against carelessness.
